All-America candidate. Led Tom Izzo's USA Basketball Junior World Championship Team to a 7-1 record in Greece, leading the team in both scoring (18 ppg) and rebounding (9 rpg). Davis demonstrated several flashes of brilliance during freshman year, ranking fourth in scoring, second in rebounding, and second with steals -- starting only 5 games.
High School: State of Michigan’s Mr. Basketball in 2002. 2002 McDonald’s All-American. 2002 Parade Magazine All-American. Averaged 29.7 points, 13.8 rebounds, 4.1 blocks and 3.8 assists as a senior. Rated the No. 1 high school player in the nation by Bob Gibbons/All Star Report in January 2002. This gamer averaged over 30 ppg. at the Big Time and took on all comers. He can really stroke deep but never loses site of his value on the inside. |
