| Has a naturally large frame, long arms and big hands. Is very athletic and explodes off the ball. Has good closing speed, but doesn't always pursue downfield. As a pass rusher, his speed rush is very effective and he has the quick feet to get around defenders. When he gets to the ball carrier, he gets there in style, often delivering punishing hits. His upside is high, but he must play hard for 60 minutes to reach his full potential. |
| Biography: |
| Craig Drummond finished his junior season (All-State and All-City) with 67 tackles, 18 sacks, two fumbles caused and one touchdown on defense.
Through his team's first seven (4-3) games, Drummond has failed to play as a senior because of a high ankle sprain.
Drummond says he plans to major in business and reports a 2.5 core GPA and a 22 ACT.
Drummond: "I have a lot of power and am a great run stopper. I can do it all. I'm just very quick and strong, but I still want to improve my backside pursuit. I also want to read plays better and will try and watch more film and prepare before every game."
Asst Coach Brookshire - Craig ran the 60 yd dash in 6.2 on 2/1/2007, he runs 200m and 400m hurdles on the varsity team this year 2007, his sophomore track season. |
