"I'm not sure I'm going to make it up to Michigan State for any camps," Heath responded. "I was to go to Cincinnati for one day but I don't think I'm going to do that."
While there were questions about Heath's academic progress, he assured he's been doing the work needed to be on track.
"I finished out the last quarter with a 3.4 GPA. I had registered late to take the test and they had me on the waiting list. I didn't make it this time but will take it the next time it's available."
With several offers already in hand, Heath has an idea of where he like to end up.
"I really want to be in the Big Ten. Right now I'm looking very hard at Michigan State and Minnesota as my top schools."
One thing Spartan fans should be encouraged about is Heath's contact with the Spartans coaching staff.
"I email with Coach Gill and Coach Barnett all the time. So they are really good about getting with me on what is going on."
While Heath started out last season in the 230-pound range, he now reports he's up to 255-pounds and working hard to stay in shape.
