Izzo Is NCAA's Best Basketball Coach

There can be no denying that Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo is the best basketball coach in all of College Basketball.

The argument is now over.

There can be no denying that Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo is the best basketball coach in all of College Basketball.

After qualifying for his sixth and most improbable Final Four appearance without arguably his top player, junior point guard Kalin Lucas and serious injuries to two key contributors Delvon Roe (torn menisicus) and Chris Allen (sprained foot), no one can mount a serious argument about Izzo's genius.

What's more, Izzo could grab his second National Championship with a game remaining on Friday in Indianapolis against virtual home team Butler and if they pull off the win, they'll play in their second straight National Championship game.

While Michigan State built a solid program under former head coach Jud Heathcoat, his top assistant Izzo has built the program into a dynasty. His achievements on the hardcourt during this edition of March Madness will likely pay even more dividends on the recruiting trail for the Spartans.

The Final Four appearance is icing on a cake that includes the Big Ten regular season title and a recruiting class for 2010 that is among the Nation's Best.

Any other NCAA head coach can only be Green with envy.
