Green came off the bench to score 14 points in just 19 minutes and also grab four rebounds. Starters Raymar Morgan (10 points), Chris Allen (10 points) and Kalin Lucas (13 points) gave the Spartans what they needed to claim sole possession of first place in the conference.

Verdell Jones led all scorers with 20 points and Christian Watford chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds.

Michigan State was strong on the inside, outscoring Indiana 40-18 to offset the Hoosiers 24 to 23 rebounding advantage.

The win sets up a showdown between the Spartans and #12 Ohio State, who sits just a 1/2 game behind them in second place Sunday afternoon and a full game ahead of #4 Purdue.
