The commitment of Schofner likely ends MSU recruitment of offensive line prospects and gives them a group comprised entirely of Ohio area players.
Schofner joins Carey tackle Michael Dennis and Columbus St. Francis DeSales guard Travis Jackson. With only about four scholarship remaining, MSU is expected to focus on skilled players.
Schofner had previously narrowed his list down to three teams, Kentucky, Souoth Carolina and Michigan State but Ohio State made a last minute pitch to try to sway the 6-foot-8, 295-lb guard prospect to stay at home.
But according to sources close to Schofner he decided to pull the trigger rather than wait for a potential offer from the Buckeyes. He becomes the 15th member of MSU's 2010 recruiting class
