High School Roundup: Bullough Leads Crusaders

Traverse City St. Francis routed Benzie, who suffered their 10th straight loss 54-0. Max Bullough led the Crusader with eight tackles. The game marked the debut of backup sophomore quarterback Riley Bullough who went 1-of-13 for 12 yards.

Jason Fracassa finished the day 17-of-19 passing with 288 yards and five touchdowns, including TD passes on four consecutive drives for Sterling Heights Stevenson who defeated Warren Cousino 42-6.

Southfield junior Dae'Von Robinson rushed 20 times for 241 yards and three touchdowns in the host Blue Jays' season-opening victory.

Nick Hill (Michigan State) gained 150 yards on 35 carries to lift the Bulldogs to a 35-29 win over Ann Arbor Huron.

Mistake-proned Warren Mott never was in their opener, getting blanked 23-0 by Romeo, but C.J. Olaniyan caught five passes for 63 yards and recorded six tackles including three for loss.

William Gholston and the Jungaleers of Detroit Southeastern crushed Chicago Academy of Communication and Technology Phantoms 40-0. No statistics were immediately available following the game.

"We would never say something like that at home, but that really is cool to come out here and have my little brother throwing me the ball like we do at home. It's really special for our family." Michigan State target Christian Bryant suffered a shoulder injury in Cleveland Glenville's season opening loss 14-13 to crosstown rival St. Ignatius.

Another MSU target, Latwan Anderson rushed twice for three yards and returned a punt for nine yards for 12 yards total offense.

Bryant rushed just once for eight yards and kicked two field goals to account for six of Glenville's 13 points.
