Lucas Named Big Ten Player of Week

Michigan State sophomore guard Kalin Lucas was honored by the conference as Big Ten Player of the Week for his effort in MSU's wins over Ohio State and Kansas.

Against Ohio State, Lucas scored 20 points on 75% shooting from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line.

He led MSU past defending National Champion Kansas with 22 points including 3-of-4 from three point range and five rebounds. MSU pushed its winning streak to nine and moved to #6 in the AP men's basketball poll in the process.

Last week, Spartans small forward Raymar Morgan won the honor.
