East Grand Rapids won its third-straight state championship against Inkster last weekend during the MHSAA’s Division 3 title game. Ford Field was filled with stars battling for bragging rights as the likes of Joe Glendening, Devin Gardner and Cameron Gordon faced off.

DETROIT — One of the MHSAA’s most star-studded title games pitted Inkster against East Grand Rapids.

Inkster lost 43-24, but it was nothing for the Viklings to be ashamed of — the Pioneers are a perenial power, winning their third-straight title game.

In the game, many All-State caliber players took the field, notably EGR’s (blue and gold) running back Joe Glendening (#3) and Inkster’s (white and maroon) junior quarterback Devin Gardner (#7) and wide receiver/safety Cameron Gordon (#4).
