The Big Ten is losing one of its most well-established and respected coaches after this season. Joe Tiller leaves Purdue as perhaps its greatest coach in school history.

He brought flair, speed and an incredible aeriel attack to a ground control conference. He made Purdue into a consistent force in the Big Ten, qualifying for bowl games in 10 of 11 seasons. He even took the Boilermakers to Pasadena.

Joe Tiller enters this afternoon's game with a 125-90-1 record, no small feat in the shadow of Notre Dame and the powers of the Big Ten.

Mark Dantonio shared his thoughts on the soon-to-be-departing head coach, a man who, whether he meant to or not, endeared himself to MSU fans by characterizing Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez as a recruiter who wore a wizard hat and hawked snake oil.
