EAST LANSING - Michigan State senior tailback Javon Ringer was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week today by the conference.

Ringer's five touchdown performance gave him the nod for this week's honors. The senior ran for 135 yards on 34 carries and 205 all-purpose yards.

His five scores were one short of the school record set by Blake Ezor in 1989. Ringer was also named player of the week on October 15, 2007.
