EAST LANSING - Michigan State today announced the kickoff times for their first three football contests in what is expected to be a solid season for head coach Mark Dantonio's Spartans.
The Spartans’ Sept. 6 home opener against Eastern Michigan will be televised by the Big Ten Network, with kickoff set for noon EDT.
ESPN or ESPN2 will televise MSU’s first-ever meeting against Florida Atlantic at noon EDT on Sept. 13.
Michigan State concludes its three-game homestand against Notre Dame on Sept. 20 in a match-up that will be televised by ABC at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
The Big Ten previously announced that Michigan State’s 2008 football season opener, Aug. 30 at California, will be televised on a regional basis by ABC, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT. The Spartans will be playing their first game in Berkeley since 1957.
Michigan State enters the 2008 season with a streak of 63 consecutive live TV appearances (games televised regionally or nationally) since November 2002.
