Spartans Grab Commitment From Treadwell

Treadwell, an all-state honorable mention last season as a junior, could project to either side of the football but most scouts view him as an offensive line prospect.

EAST LANSING - Michigan State received yet another verbal commitment, this time from East Lansing star Blake Treadwell.

Treadwell, an all-state honorable mention last season as a junior, could project to either side of the football after starting on both sides for East Lansing a season ago.

Treadwell is the son of Michigan State offensive coordinator Don Treadwell and although he will likely redshirt as a freshman, he has the size (6-foot-2, 275-pounds) to compete in the Big Ten.

The commitment of Treadwell gives Michigan State now six verbals including Edwin Baker (RB Oak Park), Chris Norman (LB Detroit Renaissance), Larry Caper (RB, Battle Creek Central), Donald Spencer (WR, Ypsilanti) Andrew Maxwell (QB, Midland) and Treadwell. Stay tuned to GSN as we get reaction from Treadwell on what it's like to not only to be part of the Spartan family, but to be an MSU football player.
