EAST LANSING - Michigan State University this afternoon announced that Michael Jordan, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive lineman from Eastern Arizona College, signed a Big Ten Conference Tender of Financial Aid today becoming the 22nd member of coach Mark Dantonio's first recruiting class.
Jordan had become the subject of an intense recruiting battle between MSU and Texas A&M and it appeared for at least a while that Jordan might become an Aggie. But the redshirt freshman, who is currently enrolled at Lansing Community College, decided to follow his heart and become a member of the Spartans.
“Michael Jordan has great athletic ability and unlimited potential," said Coach Dantonio. "Michael is a versatile defensive lineman, who can help either inside or outside. We’re excited about the opportunities that he’ll have to contribute to this program for the next three years.”
