EAST LANSING - Incoming Michigan State offensive line recruit Arthur Ray, Jr. has been diagnosed with cancer and will undergo chemotherapy in an attempt to beat the disease GSN has learned.
Ray, one of the nicest young gentlemen that GSN has encountered since declaring his commitment to Michigan State is said to be upbeat and ready to deal with the struggle that is ahead.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Arthur as he faces this challenge. I also encourage all of our fans to pray for him," said coach Mark Dantonio.
"We're hopeful that Arthur will be able to enroll at MSU for the fall semester. We look forward to his full recovery, and we expect him to resume his playing career in the near future," he said.
Ray, Jr. is known to frequent GoSpartans.net and sent a thank you to Spartans fans after his commitment to MSU. We want to encourage everyone to go to the "Gridiron/Spartan Stadium" message board and post your best wishes for Arthur Ray, Jr.
