Before visiting Michigan State last weekend, Rucker proclaimed to HoosierNation.com's John Decker "Indiana is No. 1. The visit was really good. I got to see what college life was like, hang around with the players, see what they do for fun. I spent time with the coaches. It was a great visit. I really liked it."
But it was a different scenario once Rucker set foot on the MSU campus and visited with coach Harlon Barnett.
At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Rucker runs a 4.5-40 and bench presses 240 pounds. Ranked only a two-star prospect by Scout, the lanky wide reciever/ corner is the kind of big corner that the new MSU coaching staff seems to like. They are better able to handle the taller receivers that are sprouting up all over the Big Ten conference.
Rucker unofficially had 11 receptions for 187 yards and 2 TDs. He also added three picks.
