EAST LANSING - Farmington Hills Harrison wide receiver Mark Dell announced in a nationally televised press conference on ESPNU that he will indeed attend Michigan State
University.
Dell, one of the state's top prep players chose Michigan State over his group of finalists
which included Iowa, Purdue, Wisconsin and
Missouri, but the Spartans with their spread offense and the presence of
incoming Elite-11 quarterback Keith Nichol of Lowell, MI., was the deciding factor in the Spartans landing on of the Midwest top
receivers.
Dell is rated the 26th best receiver in the nation by Scout.com. He
told Scout.com's Allen Wallace, "Michigan State has a slight edge because
they are closer to home and it would be convenient for my parents to
visit me. But we don’t want to rush—we have enough time to decide which
school is right,” he said.
If Dell does indeed commit as expected he will join the newest Spartans
commit, Kendall Washington, offensive linemen Jack Cornell, Darrell Davis-Budanauro and Paul Simkovich, linebacker George White, safety Quincy Landingham, tackle Vaughn Martin and Nichol.
Dell is MSU's third four-star Scout.com commitment, joining
Landingham and Nichol.
