Abre Leggins Heading To MSU

Leggins will help MSU's interior defensive line

Abre Leggins really enjoyed his visit to MSU and as a result, has chosen the Spartans as the team he wants to play college football for.

OKEMOS,MI-MSU has had their eye on Abre Leggins for sometime, and as a result, a favorable recent trip to East Lansing tipped the balance in the direction of the Spartans as Leggins became the 25th recruit to commit to MSU.

Leggins is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman from Orlando Evans high School in Florida who can play on both sides of the line and has good speed at 4.88, but MSU likes him as defensive lineman.

Abre finished his junior season with 40-tackles, six sacks, and two caused fumbles. He has good agility and plays basketball as well.

His combination of size and speed held the interest of scouts, and he is a good student to boot with a 3.1 GPA.

Offers came from Ole Miss, NC. State, Temple, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, and he had interest from Florida, Miami, Clemson, Michigan, Colorado State, Kentucky,Iowa State, and Central Florida, and Georgia.

He fell in the lap of the Spartans as his favorite school, Florida, had an outstanding recruiting year and didn't come through as he though they would.

GSN previously featured Abre and found him to be a classy kid. He has a good football I.Q and good quickness, and he mentioned his hustle as one of his strengths.

Abre told GSN he bench presses 365-pounds, he has a 30-inch vertical jump, and although he has run a 4.88, his normal forty time is around 5.0.

This year Orlando Evans finished the season at 3-7 and Abre's stats-with 36 tackles and 3-sacks, were a little down, but that was because he played mostly offensive tackle this year to help the team.

GSN will have a recruiting signing-day special for Wednesday. Stayed Tuned.
