ALLEN PARK - On behalf of all the writers and staff here at GoSpartans.net, we'd like to welcome you to our free weekend and invite you to fully explore the site and get to know us.

We're working very hard to provide you with the best coverage of Michigan State athletics that we possibly can. Our talented staff of writers are all based in East Lansing or Lansing, MI. They are on site and at the events and give you a first hand account of what's going on with their prospective beats.

Pavel Kofman covers the MSU football beat. Pavel is at the home and away games, sees every play and gives you perspective and insight on what's going on with the program that only an insider can bring. As we speak Pavel is beating the bushes, calling recruits, talking to them about their visits and getting their stories. You'll hear more from him as recruiting season heats up.

Kevin F. Mullen is covering the Spartans basketball beat, while he would have loved to travel to Hawaii to cover the Maui Inviatational, we weren't quite able to handle that in our budget! Still, Kevin will be following the team upon their return to the mainland and will be on the beat from day-to-day providing you with quotes from the players and coaches.

Rob Bennett is our resident MSU hockey insider. Rob is a frustated icer himself and he covers the program with the mentality of a cross-checking defenseman. He talks to the players and the coaching staff regularly. He knows them, they know him. He'll give you the up close and personal you're looking for.

As managing editor, my job is to take an overview of the program, give opinions on pressing issues and analyze what went wrong and what went right for the Spartans across the sporting spectrum. I'll also weigh in with feature stories such as our "UP Close" segment and our "Q&A" features with players and coaches.

In our message boards, you find some heated discussions, interesting topics and great polls and the occasional flamer (we ban the persistent ones) to fire up your viewpoint and opinion on all things Spartan. Go over, look around and maybe even make a post.

Of course, we hope this will entice you to consider signing up for the Total Access Pass. If at the end of the free weekend, take a 7-day trial. If your budget won't allow you to sign up at this time, then at least register a free memebership to stay part of our community.

Click the link above the 7-day trial icon to sign up for a free account.

We hope you like us.
