Spartans get verbal commitment from Canton, OH linebacker/tight end.

(EAST LANSING) - Brandon Long, of Canton, Ohio, Glen Oak High School has committed to Michigan State.

Long, 6-foot-2 and 219 pounds, plays tight end and linebacker for Glen Oak and sports a 4.56 40-yard time. Long chose MSU over Ohio State, Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Akron, Bowling Green, Ball State, Kent State and Ohio University.

Long's former high school teammate, Nick Smith, also plays for MSU as a defensive lineman.
