(EAST LANSING) After commiting early in the process, then de-committing from Michigan State, Carl Grimes is back in the fold.
Grimes decided not to join the Spartans after his early season commitment. Instead, Grimes took an official visit and made a verbal commitment to play for Bobby Bowden and the Florida State Seminoles.
However, apparently after thinking about being so far away from home, Grimes elected to join MSU after all and signed a letter of intent to do so today.
"He just thought it would be best not only for football but for his academics to go with Michigan State," said Carl's mother Janice Grimes. "He didn't want to go somewhere, wait and get lost in the shuffle."
