"I really liked the campus. I like how the coaches brought me in and it felt like it was a family. All the recruits were all one big family and I felt like part of the group."
The performance of the defense in the spring game on the heels of their success last season was something Cornell noted.
"That defense was really dominant," he said.
The visit also allowed him to talk to the coaches more.
"Their message was they really want me up there. They want me to come to Michigan State and the people you surround yourself with, that's how you make your decision."
"I will come out with a top eight on Monday, but Michigan State is number one on my list right now."
