Stepaniak Looks Forward to Visiting Spartans

With a solid early offer list, Ohio junior offensive lineman Simon Stepaniak is excited about a visit he'll be making to Michigan State at the start of next month.

With offers from several conferences, Hamilton (Ohio) Ross high school offensive lineman Simon Stepaniak heard from a school high on his list on Monday.

"I just talked with Coach (Harlon) Barnett at Michigan State," said Stepaniak. "He invited me up to a basketball game on March 1-st.

What did Stepaniak's main recruiter have to say about the direction the Spartans are looking at taking going forward?

"Coach Barnett said he's really excited to get me up there and meet them," he said. "My high school coach went to the Ohio coaches' convention this past weekend and said he spoke with head coach Mark Dantonio and some of the staff and they were really impressed with my film and wanted to get me up on campus and see what happens."

What does Stepaniak know about the Spartans?

"I know the obvious," he said. "I know they are Big Ten and Rose Bowl Champions. I've also heard a lot of good things about Coach Dantonio and the rest of the staff from some of the coaches here."
