Campbell was 6 of 17 passing for 98 yards in the loss.

Matt Morrissey

Morrissey returned from injury, but Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson lost 15-14 in the state semifinals when Loyola went for two after a touchdown late in the game. Morrissey had 40 receptions for 750 yards and ten touchdowns entering the game. He also had five interceptions.

Enoch Smith Jr.

Mt. Carmel rolled into the state finals with a 34-7 win. Smith was part of a defense that held down a potent Edwardsville offense.
