Michigan State senior linebacker Max Bullough has been named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List for this season.
Bullough, a three-year letterwinner is one of the best players in the Big Ten and leader of the Spartans top-ranked defense. Coming off a season that saw him earn First-team All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and be a semifinalist for the Butkus Award and one of 20 quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The Traverse City (Mich.) native is set for the best season of his Spartans career in 2013 and is a returning team captain who led the Spartans for the second straight season in tackles with a career-high 111 stops and ranked second on the team with 12.5 tackles for loss.
Monday should also see Bullough earn a spot on the Butkus Award Watch List.
