Clarkston (Mich.) defensive tackle David Beedle earned a Michigan State offer recently and did not wait long to jump on it, committing to the Spartans today.

After coming to Michigan State's lineman camp and then having the staff see him at Sound Mind Sound Body, David Beedle, a 6'5, 270-pound defensive lineman earned a Spartan offer on Wednesday and did not wait too long to accept it.

"I have committed to Michigan State," an excited Beedle reported to Scout.

He now becomes the 12th verbal commitment in the Spartan class, joining running back Gerald Owens, who also committed today.

He is second defensive tackle, joining Chicago Mount Carmel's Enoch Smith and is the fifth in-state member of the class for the Spartans.

Scout will have more from Beedle shortly.
