Notable quotable:

Boilermakers guard D.J. Byrd on what it will take to beat Illinois a second time…

"We've got to have a bunch of guys come together, keep chipping away and doing the right things. Illinois, we already beat them once this year but they've had some big wins; been playing really well these past couple games. We've got to be ready and focused."

On the first meeting between the two teams…

"We were able to get a big lead. They hit some big shots at the end, but we were still able to get out of there with a win. Anybody can get beat on any day."

On Illinois recent stretch of wins…

"They've had some players on their team knock down some shots; really playing well in the half court. They've been good the past couple games. We've got to be ready for that. I think going in there will be tough."
