Webster, 18, averaged 13.5 points in the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament, while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, including 62.5 percent from three-point range. At 17 years old at the time, he was the youngest player to ever play on New Zealand's national team.
"I'm excited to have Tai join us!" Miles said in a released statement. "He is an excellent player who will thrive in our style of play and has high-level international playing experience which will help him acclimate to basketball in the U.S."
Webster chose the Huskers over a handful of offers from Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, St. Mary's LSU and SMU.
Big Red Report will have more on Webster's signing in the coming days.
