Michigan State University official announced Monty Madaris as a member of the Spartans recruiting class on Thursday morning after the Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller standout faxed his signed letter of intent to Mark Dantonio.
Dantonio issued the following on Madaris.
"Monty is an outstanding athlete who attended our camp twice. He’s a big-bodied wide receiver who reminds me of B.J. Cunningham. He possesses raw speed and is very instinctive. He’s also tough and an outstanding blocker. He was one of the top players in Cincinnati in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation. Monty is the third player that we’ve recruited from Moeller High School – the past two (Greg Jones, Marcus Rush) have been great ones."
Madaris gives the Spartans 18 official members in the class and was ranked a four-star wide receiver (#26 overall) by Scout.com in the 2012 class.
