Tom Izzo may only return one starter from last season’s NCAA Tournament team, however, with Preseason Wooden Award candidate Draymond Green being said starter, many expect Michigan State to be pushing for the top of the Big Ten Conference.
Earning the third spot in media’s preseason rankings, the Spartans will look to Green who posted 12.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game a year ago on his way to earning All-Big Ten honors.
Izzo seemed happy with how Green has worked since last season.
“I think he’s (Green) improved his body even more,” said Izzo. “I look back since his freshman year, he’s just been constantly getting better.”
