Post game notes from Michigan State's 44-0 victory over Florida Atlantic.

B.J. Cunningham became MSU's all-time receptions leader with a 7-yard catch in the first quarter...Cunningham finished with five receptions for 73 yards...he now has 153 career receptions...he also moved up to ninth in career receiving yards at MSU (1,983 yards)...Cunningham has caught at least one pass in 36 consecutive regular-season games.

Michigan State's defense limited Florida Atlantic to one first down, tying a school record (Maryland, 1944)...the 48 yards of total offense are the sixth-fewest allowed in Michigan State history, and the fewest since allowing 6 yards to Michigan in 1951...it marked the fifth time a Spartan defense hasn't allowed a first down by rushing, and the first time since Ohio State in 1999...Florida Atlantic was held to 22 yards rushing, the second-lowest in the Dantonio era (12 yards by UAB in 2007)...the 26 passing yards by Florida Atlantic are the fewest allowed in the Dantonio era, and the fewest allowed by MSU since surrendering 10 yards passing against Army in the 1984 Cherry Bowl.

• The 44-0 win marked the first shutout win since MSU defeated FAU 17-0 in 2008...the 44-point margin of victory was the largest for MSU under Dantonio and the largest since a 47-point win (61-14) at Illinois in 2005...it was the largest shutout win for MSU since 1996 (47-0 win over Eastern Michigan).

• Michigan State has only allowed six points in the first two games, the fewest allowed in the first two games of the season combined since 1965 (UCLA - three points; Penn State - shutout).

• Michigan State extended its home winning streak to nine games, matching its longest home winning streak since it also won nine straight from 1998-2000...Dantonio is 24-6 in Spartan Stadium (.800).

Dan Conroy's 50-yard field goal in the second quarter tied a career long...he also connected on a 50-yarder in the Florida Atlantic game last year at Ford Field in Detroit...Conroy finished the game 2-for-3 in field-goal attempts, as he also hit a 41-yarder but missed a 28-yarder...Conroy is 17-for-20 in his career in field-goal attempts.

Kevin Muma made his first career field goal, a 28-yarder in the fourth quarter.

Jeremy Langford scored his first career touchdown on a 37-yard fumble return in the fourth quarter...it marked MSU's first defensive touchdown since Chris L. Rucker returned a fumble 11 yards at Purdue in 2009.

Keshawn Martin crossed the 1,000-yard receiving plateau for his career...he had seven receptions for 73 yards...Martin now has 1,037 career receiving yards.

• MSU now leads the all-time series over FAU, 3-0...Dantonio improves to 13-1 against non-conference opponents in Spartan Stadium...Dantonio is 15-7 overall at MSU in non-conference games.

• Michigan State owned a 42:26-17:34 advantage in time of possession...MSU is 24-4 under Dantonio when leading in time of possession.
