Practice starts for Michigan State officially on Tuesday. However, the news was good for tight end Dion Sims who missed last season due to off field issues.
Sims, who is a sophomore in eligibility, could play a key role in the Spartans defense of their Big Ten Championship with his physical size at 6-foot-5, 270-pounds.
According to Coach Dantonio, the talented tight end has done everything requested of him to earn his spot back on the team.
It will be interesting to see how Sims responds in the coming weeks as he gets back into the fold.
