Trice Finishes His Prep Career

Future Spartan finishes his high school career in double overtime and short of his goal.

When Spartan Digest last spoke with Travis Trice, the senior from Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne High School had team goals at the top of his list. One of those goals was an appearance in Ohio's Division One state title game. That goal ended on Saturday as Trice and Wayne fell after two overtimes to Winton Woods 80-76.

In a physical hard fought game that saw both teams combine to shoot 71 foul shots, Trice scored a game-high 38 points in a performance that left fans from both teams taking notice.

Wayne finishes with a record of 22-2 on the season as Trice earned 1-st Team all-conference honors while leading the Greater Western Ohio Conference in scoring with a 23.6 average on the season while also averaging 6.9 assists per game. Recommended Stories
