Powered by Kalin Lucas career-high 30 points, the Spartans disposed of Purdue in timely fashion as they continue to show life many thought was gone about a month ago. The senior tied a career high with four 3-pointers and as a team, MSU hit for just over 53% from behind the 3-point line.
Keith Appling added 10 points and Draymond Green pulled down 13 rebounds for the Green & White.
Playing one of their more complete games of the season, the Spartans held Big Ten Player of the Year JaJuan Johnson to 21 points on the night and out played the Boilermakers on the boards pulling down 41 boards as compared to the Purdue’s 28.
Michigan State will look to add another victory to their resume on Saturday when they play the winner of the Wisconsin vs. Penn State game with a chance to reach the Big Ten tournament final.
