2012 Running Back Setting Up Visits

One of the more explosive running backs in the Midwest for the Class of 2012 has started taking unofficial visits. Are the Spartans on the list? We get the latest.

As more and more teams look to incorporate spread schemes at the college level, getting slot type players with speed and the ability to get positive yards is essential. Avon, Indiana running back Charles Davis fits just this mold.

While Davis lines up as a running back in high school, at 5-foot-7, 175-pounds, he knows a position change to a slot position could be in his future. Several schools are showing early interest and coming off a visit to Pittsburgh, Davis has a few other trips lined up.

"I'm set to visit Indiana on November 6, Northern Illinois on November 9, Louisville on November 13, and Michigan State on November 20."

"I have been in contact with Coach Salem a little bit, and feel pretty good about going up there and checking it out."

Davis knows his plans could change as his team is still playing this season.

"Right now we are in the playoffs and we just won on Friday. We were down 21-3 going into the fourth quarter to our rival Brownsburg, but came back to win 25-21. It is the best feeling I have ever had knowing that we've earned our way to the sectional championship on Friday."

Here are highlights from Charles sophomore season.
